The Body Shop aims to make a positive difference in the world by making available in own stores high quality cosmetics based on natural ingredients inspired by the nature, for face, body and hair care and make-up cosmetics, ethically and sustainably manufactured.
The Body Shop was the first international cosmetics company to introduce fair trade in the cosmetics and body care industry in 1987. By means of unique program Community Fair Trade (CFT), The Body Shop is supplied with the most refined natural ingredients and accessories from all four corners of the world, by being committed to trade fairly with small farmers, traditional craftsmen and rural cooperatives, experts in their field.
Cocoa from Ghana, marigold oil from Namibia, alcohol from Ecuador, coconut oil from Samoa, hemp from England, tea tree oil from Kenya are just a few of the milestones on the Community Fair Trade map, which will be continuously expanding over the next years.
